    Hello all,

I just got a Coral Beauty a couple days ago, and he loves to pick at my turbo snails and crabs, has anyone else had any experience with this? Any suggestions since the algae in my tank is starting to become a problem. He wont let them move around they just stay in their shells all day.

I have moved the live rock around wishfully thinking it might help with his aggression. I only have one other fish in the 55G tank a black and white clown.

I went to the LFS today and they said they would trade him for a different fish if I wanted, but do you all think that would help or is it the species specific problem?

    Thanks

Welcome to 3reef. It may be an individual problem.

Thanks, his color is so vibrant, that I might just trade the snails in to the LFS. He shows some aggression to the other fish, but it isnt excessive

I would give him a little more time in the tank. He may calm down.

my CB tries to eat my emerald... but the emerald always manages to get back into the rock work. Other than that, no issues. And I wouldn't even call that an issue.

Welcome to 3reef. I would give it time. I haven't had any problems with my CB nipping at inverts. I seems to like it (somewhat) when my cleaner shrimp hangs on her side & cleans her as she swims. Could be a "personality" trait though. As in. just your specific fish.
