If he is swimming and eating well I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep a close eye on him. Can you pot some more details about your tank and water parameters now so if he gets worse we will already have it?

because he is swimming and eating that doesn`t mean he` is ok . I would treat him and the whole tank with Melafix Marine .

I have been in a constant battle over the last month against this 'sore' above the eye. Originally, I thought it was a knick from an emerald crab.... now it takes up over half of its face and it seems to get worse. I beleive it is "hole-in-the-head" disease and have recently ordered medicine as nothing else has seemed to work. Visit my profile and go to my "BEST Therads" at the bottom. The information my be of use to you! I would post the threads here, but am not to sure how to do that!^%!$^

i have had some luck with treating "hole-in-the-head" disease, aka head and lateral line erosion with melafix, but it has been argued that over the counter medication has little effect on long term H.L.L.E. the use of ground probes, fish tank maintenance, and good species specific diet are crucial to success.

Sounds like hole in the head to me. It usually stems from lack of proper nutrition or stray voltage. Angels need a special diet with sponge in it for them to get their proper nutrition. The also need ALOT of food. More than you think a little fish that size would need.
