    Lord.
My first SW fish my Coral Beauty is not long for my reef. Reef-Safe*. I learned what the "*" means. It hasn't been bad to my corals but I came to the realization that it was killing my snails. It especially fond of biting the eye-stalks off of turbo snail. So much so that I have zero turbo snails. I have add a hair algae problem since I moved in June and early on it was caused by equipment failure and shortcoming. I have since fix all of those issue and still with the algae. I only have to use my Mag float once a week and my SPS are colored up and not brown so I have every indication that my tank is nutrient poor but I still have algae. If nothing is eating it will still grow slowly.
The final straw was after looking for the right tang for over month. I found one and on the second day it was dead. I think from the aggressive attacks from CB. In what little time the Tang was in the tank it seem like it was going to be a real asset in eating the hair algae. So I believe I will see if the fish store wants to swap and get another tang.

You can give it to me, Covey. I've had two Coral Beauties and neither one lasted two weeks.

My last one didn't bother corals after the 1st day and I would have loved for it to eat snails as I had a snail plague. I loved that fish. It got stuck to my Tunze pump though. :p I need to make a safe mod for the pump and get another one.

I am surprised that your CB intimidated your Yellow Tang. Yellow Tangs are tough and bullyish and have those daggers in their tails like all Tangs to defend themselves. I would have bet on the Tang. :-/

I thought the Tang was going to make it too. I started this thread the first day.http://www.3reef.com/forums/fish/i-hate-u-but-i-love-u-34867.html
That is my first SW fish and probably my favorite. It would probably be less nippy if I feed it more. I cut back feeding and it is not thin far from it. Turbo snails are like the cheapest easiest option to help eat the algae. So I am stuck in a vicious cycle.

SAW you really want a known snail maimer?
