i got a hydnophora a few weeks ago, it was nice and healthy when i got it. now its bleaching. my acropora is fine, even groing a little bit, so its not my water params i dont think. i though it might be too much light so i moved it down (was on the very top) into a corner with indirect light, everything else in my tank is great as ive said, even the acropora has grown some. what could be the calprit? what should i do? im leaving a couple hours to go camping and will be back monday so hopefully it will be better when i get back. thanks guys.

idk, it just looks not as full. ill give a pic. for some reason it looks skiinier in the morning before lights come on, then it looks fuller when i get home and the lights have been on.

The pics look the same to me :) The coral also looks fine so I'm going to guess that the white tips are just growth.

Coral looks good shows good polyp extension and if you are not seeing that all the time thats normal they as a rule will close in the day and open more at night to feed when its more safe for them to stick their little heads out of the skeleton .. Don't move it or disturb it allow it a few more weeks to settle in and get the parameters correct ,stable and under control
