i think its bleaching, that or its on a growth streak. since this is my first coral that shows extraordinary growth, or death, im just gonna let nature do its thing, it looks like it could be growing or dying, im confused. thanks guys and lets hope for the best.

That coral is not bleaching what you need to do is get it back under strong lighting and kick the Ca to 425 to 450 DKH to 12 to 14 and Magnesium to 1400 and give it moderate to strong flows you want to be able to see the polyps waving in the currents . This species is one of the hardiest SPS corals going. the worst think you can do with the sps corals is moving them set then in a good space for plenty of light and currents and get the parameters correct and steady it will take off ,

Most do more harm with a knee jerk reaction by starting to move them here and there . Just set it and forget it for a few weeks Unless you see it Bleaching or starting to see signs of a condition called RTN starting to set in.. If it was bleaching it would be totally white now and RTN in about 20 Hrs all the flesh would have lifted up and floated away

I've looked at your photos and I can't say what I think you may have seen wrong coral looks healthy and doing great . I kept that coral fro yrs it just to invasive and large and was killing everything around it ..

I have grown and fragged more more corals then I can count and this is a one we had a lot of the tips will vary and look like bone but its just new growth . What happens when people start to k SPS corals and not knowing what they have they will freak out and start to do different things as they fear the coral if bleaching , Then many times there over reacting to a problem that is not a problem will create a real bleaching issue like with you you panicked and started to move the coral , If they are bleaching moving them is about the worst thing to do as you just added more stress and tweaked it in the lighting change and water flows .

When you see one bleach once then you will no and see the difference between bleaching and growth on the tips , And RTN'ing is a whole nother animal the flesh will bubble up and totally life off of the skeleton and float away and Bleaching if your was bleaching then in 24 hrs to 3 days its white and that does not mean its dead I have saved a lot of what O have in our tank now that came here totally white from a blue acro to a German green

Put it good strong lighting and moderate to fast water currents and let it be and get the parameters dialed in and keep them all as tight as you can as with heat a couple of degrees and or a slight swing in DKH or Ca and Mag then you could see it all bleach .
