I see in the bags that one of the Corals came off its plug, not sure what Coral it is, but does it need to stay on that plug? How to reattach if I have to? and I was curious, are these Corals left on the plugs forever? Seems it would be hard to hide them to make it look more natural.

You can glue it or putty, depending on coral type, to a plug or a piece of ruble.

super glue gel is the easiest to work with in my experience.

In my experience with soft corals you can glue em but they can be a pain. Can you try like tying it to a piece of rubble or rock until it attaches itself? GSP grows pretty darn quick so it shouldn't take to long to attach.

You mean like tie it on with thread? I don't like the sound of super glue and it is the GSP Coral. I guess that super glue gel must be safe, I heard that before I do believe.

I suggest a piece of rubble ...but with GSP..even on a plug it(the plug) will soon be covered and never seen again. : ) as for string or glue..ime, for GSP, it is kind of a pad of rubbery substance and should have little difficulty being glued with super glue gel as mentioned...fast growing when params are good....but, without a picture..as for frag size, I'm just suggesting. Got a pic?:)

I would use like fishing line or cotton thread. I used bridal vale to attach mushrooms which might work for GSP but I'm not it would like not being able to open. How big is the frag? You might be able to wedge it in a little crevice too. Just make sure it does get caught in a current and blown away.

GSP doesn't like glue. Usually most people that frag them only add glue to one small spot because the polyps above the glue 'ALWAYS' die. I would suggest trying to place the mat in a crevice. Or a rubber band, fishing line, veil, or just about anything other then glue to get it to lay in place. It takes only 2 to 4 weeks for the edges to start spreading and attaching themselves. Then look out they spread like wild fire.

You can also use a sewing kit and just thread a couple threads thru it and glue the threads down away from the frag. They can grow over the glue just don't like glue attached to them. Most other frags I strongly suggest super glue gel.

Most people I have seen frag these do so in a 10 gallon tank with no substrate. They then take a razor blade cut squares and scrape off. Placing a dot of glue and attach to flat plugs. More times then not the fragged mat ends up with a hole punch and loose within a week. Its just for an easy display to sell it quick.
