That's good, I love the blue in my tank.

So am I able to replace bulbs on a led fixture?

Potentially, you shouldn't need too and it is easy enough to add "diode" or "leds". They aren't considered bulbs

Depends on the fixture. Most prefabricated systems don't allow for single diode swapping.

Any diy, can easily accommodate swaps.

It's the 120w Taotronics dimmable fixture. If I added to it, wouldnt to change more than just the diodes?

I'm going to be going with mh and led both together on my nano witch I thought or think is the best bet mh for real growth and led for my viewing pleasure

If photons are photons, and led has more par than mh, why does mh grow corals faster?

Spectrum. We are still learning exactly what LEDs in what colors are needed to maximize growth.

Enough of them does!! You can fit more LEDs in an area than MH bulbs.

You know this is a wasted thought though... MH doesn't even compare to MH. Reflectors, bulb manufacturer, bulb age, and ballast all make every MH setup considerably different.

The same is probably even more true of LEDs.
