Coral covered snail

    Hello all, i had this snail for over a year now and it has been covered with some kind of coral that been growing with a shell, as shell grows coral grows, when i touch it tenticles hide and it feels hard. please tell me what king of coral is this

    I have no idea what that coral is

    but I did want to say, thats the best looking snail I have ever seen in a reef tank

    I always keep checking on it to make sure its alive i dont want it falling behind somewhere and loose that beauty.

    I dont blame you

    if the snail does meet with an unfortunate end then at least that shell once rinsed out in some tank water , could be located on the reef and continue to grow

    That is very cool....Hmmmm what an idea! looks like SPS polyps of some sort.

    Me too. I think I need to get a better class of snails, mine only grow algae on their shells.

    i understand its SPS looks soft and moves with flow, but when touched its base is white and feels like sandpaper
