    It was sold as pink star polyp, I believe. Whatever it is, it's a pretty cool piece of rock. There is a patch on the top side that is a lighter color than the rest, and for a couple of weeks at the lfs, it was the only area that was coming out. Just this week, the rest of the pink started to show, but the top patch was much longer and slightly different in structure. When I first put the piece in my tank a couple of days ago, the top lighter patch came out right away. After a few hours it went into hiding and hasn't come out since. As you can see, the rest of the polyps seem quite happy.

    On a different note, my new coral beauty angel is swimming up and down the tank against the glass. Not a good sign if i remember correctly. I'm getting ready to do a water change. Hope that helps.

    Yep, pink star polyps...don't worry they will be annoying you with their growth in no time..lol ;)
