I think we should have a thread where every one post what type of coral they have, what, and how they feed it, how much, and how often......Also tell us what tools you use to feed the coral.

    Ill start

    long Tip nem

I spot feed it 3-4 times a week using crab meat from the knuckles of alaskan crab and krill, i place the food in the mouth of the coral by hand

Duncans: each head gets squid every other week
Scolys: half a silverside every other week
Acans: each head gets squid every 3 days
Palys: whenever they snag some food
Torch: each head gets squid once every other week
Frogspawn: each head gets squid once every other week
Chalice: Each eye gets mysis once a week
Sun coral: each head gets squid once a week
trachy: any left over squid from the current feeding
Hammer: squid once every other week
    Pagoda: mysis every other week

    Yea, I feed A LOT.

    EDIT:

    I forgot a few...

Candy Cane: each head gets squid once every other week
Favia: a squirt of mysis over the colony every other week

I am sure there are more that I am forgetting.

    Good call OP.

    Turn current and filtration off.

Lobophyllia, ricordea, trumpets and favia - Mix- Mysis, brine, bloodworms... sometimes add rotifers and cyclopeze 1x week via baster.

Zoas and pavona ...squirt of rotifers and cyclopeze 1x week via baster

12" elephant ear will only filter feed in spite of it's rep.

Torch won't eat solid food but he keeps growing.

A good way to feed slow consuming corals... Cut the top off of a 16 oz water bottle. Put it over over the coral threaded side up and squirt food in.

    Cool thread.

Frogspawn, open brain, flowerpot, button polyps, elephant ear, and condy nem: frozen mix of mysis, brine, clam, squid, krill & bloodworms via turkey baster once every two weeks.

Colts and red organ pipe are filter-feeders.

Every week, every two weeks! I feed all my LPS, Duncan's, Acans, Brains, Scoly's twice, sometimes 3 times a week. I dose Phyto every 3 days for all the filter feeders. I also feed Rods original to my fish every 2 days that way the rest of the filter feeders like the palys get some.

    5 pacific oysters
    5 mussels
    5 pacific clams
    5 jumbo shrimp
    1 tbl real grain sugar
    200cc ro/di
    10g dulse

use food processor, blend to liquid state (formula can not heat up), freeze in small sections, feed every night (after lights out), keep eye on nutrients, turn off skimmer prior to use.

    optional:
    add amino acids separate.

amount of food/amino depends on livestock.
