Coral ID yellow sunflower polyps

    listed as yellow sunflower polyps paid 55.00 bucks. Are these called sunflower polyps? They look like zoanthids The do not look like sun polyps.

    Looks like it could be a goniopora. Not sure about the sunflower polyps name.

    They didn't look like any of the corals usually referred to as polyps to me. Reminded me of goniopora right away though.

    after looking it dose seem to be gonioporo...No im wondering if it is dyed and if i over paid? Its a large piece. about 7'' by 4'' and its full.

    So i think this coral is dyed...that kinda sucks. but it still looks nice. I understand how to feed this coral...would it be better placed on the sand? I figured if it was going to spread it should be on the rocks..dose it spread?

    nope...it's skeleton will grow. Why do you think it's dyed? I love goniopora. Much better than zoas.

    I just read from a few different sites that if it has an almost unature yellow color its most likely dyed...
