    Hey guys,

I picked this up at the LFS today but I have no idea what it is and the people there said they couldn't remember the name.

    Any ideas?

thanks guys. I just did some research on it. Should i be worried about its sweeper tentacles? some people say that they can reach up to two feet in length in the wild. Others say theirs are about three inches away from other corals and have no problems.

Sweeper tentacles do get very very long. It really depends on the flow direction though. If sensitive corals are down current than they are at risk. A foot of distance is good. Mine killed probably around 5-10 corals in the years I had it. The branching variety I had previously did not show the same aggression as the plating type.
