Noobie here.. I had my tank up for two week now and had the live rock in it for about a week. Lights consist of 2 65w compact fluorescent on for about 10-12 hours a day. Does anyone have good links to identify types of corals? Also, if anyone knows the name of the mushroom and the carpet type coral I got with the live rock? I think one of the photos is a photo of a feather duster? I don't know what the other one is... Thanks!

first one looks like a toadstool leather with some gsp, the second pic is an aiptasia anemone (not a goo thing generally), and the lasts a lil feather duster

If the first one is not a toadstool and is a mushroom then it is a hairy mushroom. The other two IDs are spot on. Good pics BTW.

NO, that will only allow them to spread. You need to inject them with commercial Aiptasia killer or homemade solutions of boiling water, lemon juice or kalk paste.

they are a LOT harder to get rid of then that. usually use joe's juice, or lemon juice, or aiptasia X or boiling water.
