    Thanks

    Thanks,
Many of the local LPS seem to only push new items versus repairing your exisiting sytem.

another recommendation is a local hardware store, or maybe an industrial truck supply store.. i used to work at an auto parts store, (several actually), and some of them have kits where you can make your own o-ring... but, considering you've lost the actual o-ring, it may be hard to find an exact match... wasn't thinking about that, but since i've already typed this much, might as well finish... another option is taking the whole skimmer in the store and showing them the groove that it would fit in, and see if they have any matches... another problem with that, is in my experience, they lubricate a lot of the o-rings with stuff that may or may not seep into the aquarium somehow or another... it would be a much cheaper route though!

if you are looking for an o-ring go to McMaster-Carr the ring should only cost you like .20 as long as you know what size it is. and i am sure it is a buna n type. and if you are unsure of the size i am sure coral life will tell you the dimensions.
