    his tanks been up 6 weeks. so hopefully all done cycling. for beginners , start off with an easy coral as mentioned above by others. then go from there . and nice looking tank , looks like youve got lots of coral placement spots

    Also a noob here, have the tank, lights, filters, but no water in it yet. I was following this post to also get a good idea of good 1st corals and what to stay away from.

    I thought there was a link for abreviations, but can't find it. Could someone please let me know what GSP is?

    GSP= Green Stary Polyps. i bought some just recently because i love fragging stuff. and i like how they look.

    Yes, like divott said (as stated in post #1) my tank has been up for about 6 weeks. Actually tomorrow will be 7. I plan on letting things settle down a little more, my cycle was done about 2 weeks ago, I don't want to rush anything. I'm going to give it another few weeks to make sure my levels stay where they are at.

    Refreshing to find someone with patience. You are on the correct path. I always tell people to wait until the 4-6 month range before adding coral.

    Wow....I didn't realize. Is that to make sure everything stays "stable"? I'd much rather wait and be happy then rush things and be miserable. :)
