I have glued some free floating zoanthids to a hermit crab before. They didn't spread and they were hardly open.

Wouldn't the coral sting it or release it's defense toxins?

Im not sure if it would sting it or not. Does anyone have experience in gsp stinging other corals or nything? If not, i think it would be okay on the snails back. As for the fish nipping at it. All I have in the is a clown fish and he spends all day in the anemone. I dont think he would nip at the gsp. if he isnt in the anemone, he is looking at the glass, probably seeing a reflection of itself, and is amused with that. Im still going to give it a try. If anything seems to go wrong, I'll just scrape the gsp off.

yeah, thats cool. The only thing I think might go wrong with a hermit is it could hide in your rocks and stay out of the light all day. My turbo doesnt even have a chance of getting behind the rock because he is so big. A mushrooms could get really big too. The only thing I could think of messing with the coral on the back, is the back of the snail scraping against rocks or anything. But we will see. maybe this turns out great.
