I am looking at getting some coral from a supplier quite far away. My uncle lives right near them and is coming here. Can he bring them with him to avoid shipping charges.

definitely needs to be a "carry-on" item if they let you.

You would have to check your air plane carrier, there was a post recently on here about it.

He probably wouldn't get it in the cabin but may be able to check it in his luggage. As long as your not in overly cold weather they would probably be fine

But that is over 6 oz of water so i doubt they would let you. Check with the airline and see what they say. I don't think any one knows on 3reef what to do here unless they were a past pilot.

ive read somewhere that if you have the corals moist, idk if this applies to all... then they should be fine for the few hours they are on the plane. kind of like what john from RC does.

I am not sure if they will allow you however to actually have a live coral transported on a plane like that.
