Thanks for all the great responses! I wish I had read the replies before ordering two xenia frags! haha...oh well, I don't suppose I'd mind them taking over to a degree, they are mesmerizing!

When a hobby gets to the point where people say what one should like based on degree of difficulty, scarcity, or common belief, we do best by disregarding such distraction. As with all things in life, the purest pursuit, and the one most attributable to fulfillment, is that one undertaken free of outside influence.

few things to look at when placing a coral. depending on if you got it from a fellow reefs tank you want to know lights, flow and depth in the tank. that way you can better keep him the closest spot as to were it came from. (If that Makes any sense)...

for frags online and in a store don't hesitate to ask the same questions on placing the new addition. but all in all no tank is the same but you will want to try and keep it closes to the same placement as possible. as it will not have to re-acclimate to the new spot. which could put a pause on its growth. flow and lighting IMO are the main concerns which corals like alto of light and which ones like to hide out in shaded area's. and which ones will get along with each other when they grow. right now I am having a coral war with an acro forgot the name and a orange Monti cap which the Monti is losing
