Ok so I have some coral that I ordered coming in Thursday (from Santa ;D) and have just a couple questions for those with answers.

Here's the new additions: Green Bubble, Green/Pink Hammer, Purple/Green Favia, Green/Blue Favia, 3 Acropora Frags.

So Im planning on putting the Acros on the right side of the DT where the flow is a little stronger and they will get the best light. My plan for the Bubble and Hammer are mid level medium flow and light at least a foot or two away from each other (to prevent warfare?) and the Favias a little higher than those two with lower flow than the Acros and a little less light. Does this all sound right and also how do I attach the Bubble and Hammer? Its my understanding that they have a hard skeleton do I use my marine epoxy on that or wedge them in a rock or what? I assume the favia will be on a rock so thats easy and the Acros on plugs of some kind its just those two Im unsure of. Thanks again and always 3reef

The bubble and hammer should each have some part of the old dead skeleton showing and you can epoxy that into place or just wedge it if you can.

the bubble andx hammer may just come on a chunk of rock. if so, find a good stable resting spot or wedge them in. also good idea about the distance between. as my bubble grew , my spawn didnt come out as fully as it should. but since giving them more space from each other , its back to its former glory. also with the bubble , take into consideration they can grow quickly sometimes. mine wwent from tennis ball size to loaf of bread in a matter of months. good luck and lookin forward to pics.

Yeah Ill post pics for sure on thursday Im gettin a new light fixture that day too (First of 3) so the acros will get to use that. Would you say they are the most light needy? Also the bubble is 6" now so I have a good spot picked out for it anybody know how big they can get? I saw a hammer on here that was like 12" so I should prob just put them on seperate sides anybody know which one prefers more light and flow or visa versa in regards to the Bubble and Hammer?

ive got my bubble up high under t5's . low flow. they can go a bit lower in the tank too. same as the spawns. as said my bubble has quadrupled , and the spawns can get quite large. i didnt see what type lights youre getting. hopefully at least t5's or your acro will not do well and prob wont survive. put that as high up as you can.

I am upgrading to 3 250w MH but will only have one for about another month so the acros are goin under it and the favia and other coral i have will be under my current lighting which is these stupid VHO power compacts that are now discontinued and I cant get any more bulbs for (reason for upgrade) but they have kept my clam alive and well for 6 months now so they should be fine until I get the other MH

be careful not to bleach your new acros with that 250W... just leave them down low for a few days and the gradually move them higher until they are at your final spot ;)

Actually since its new to the tank I was gonna only have it on for maybe 4 hours the first day then add like 30 min a day til I get to about 8 hrs so you think I should just put them where they will end up from the start

under the mh's , start them low and gradually move them to where you want them
