    I have these yellow polyps and these brown polyps are sprouting up by them. This colony doesn't seem to do so well in my tank any suggestions params are all amm/trates/trite 0 ca 440 alk 10 phos 0 mg 1250[​IMG]

    Also are these 2 different kind of corals?

    I believe you showed the Yellow Star polyps before right ? At that time I thought they were being munched on and I still believe that is the case. The lower in the tank they are the more yellow the higher or closer to the light the browner. They do well when target feed.

    The second picture is 2 different types of zoanthids, or possibly palys.

    I've dipped them twice I guess I'll dip again, so if I move lower they will be more yellow? Sleighs do you target feed?

    Dipping is only going to be so effective. I would focus at looking for a nudibranch or other preditor at night after the lights have been out for some time.

    And yes less light more yellow.

    Target feed mysis, any frozen food. They really spread when feed.

    Yes, if you place them lower in the tank, they will turn more of a yellow-ish color.

    In the first picture...is that brown stuff you are talking about, just to the right of the yellow polyps?

    The second picture is 2 kinds of zoanthids or palythoas. It's hard to tell b/w them sometimes.
