I'm going to a not so local fish store tomorrow, Aquatic Importers, in Green Bay WI. I've been told this is the fish Mecca around the middle third of WI. Here's my question. I'm looking to suggestions on what corals to get. Right now I have a 20 gallon nano that's almost 9 months old, and a 10 gallon pico tank that's 3 months old. I've got a few corals(zoa's and SPS) in my 20 gallon and am looking to add a few more. I have nearly 7 watts / gallon and medium high water flow. All my levels are zero's (microalgae helped out a ton), and I dose trace element to help with the corals needs. So what would you suggest I take a look at? Species specific would be great! I'm fine with getting one polyp and letting it grow, as that's how i started and it seems to be working out. I'd like to keep the per poly price between 5-15 dollars each (or less ;D).

To support the long term success of this tank I ordered a 150gpd RODI unit 1:1 waste/output and that will be here Monday.

    Always appreciative,
    Biggs

Well, the store that I wanted to go to was out of business in Green Bay, later learning that it has moved to Appleton. So I found Advanced Aquarium Systems. Ended up talking to the owner (who insisted he hated saltwater:p) and walked out with a softball sized head of Bubble coral.

It took 1/2 a day to open up fully, but now it looks awesome. I took this using a technique called light painting. The light is a high powered DIY UV LED assist light. Disclaimer: this was put through photoshop to reduce the gamma a bit. Otherwise this was untouched.

BTW: I gave the owner an open invitation to come visit the forum and he seemed pretty interested.

I did not run over to Appleton that day. That's the next time I need/want to go up to that neck of the woods.
