I'm new to the marine aquarium, so I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question...
I live near the beach, and found some really cool coral rock in a beach shop. I was told it was all they had left, because it is now illegal to harvest it. Is this safe to put in my aquarium?

Like a live coral or a coral skeleton? If its a coral skeleton and its dried out than I would say that yes its probably safe. Live coral I wouldn't put in the tank for fear of unwanted hitchikers.

    Thanks for quick reply...
Dead coral skeleton. Are these rare to find? Everywhere else I've looked they are man made.

I'm not sure if they're hard to find. I know they often have very large ones for a lot of money at my LFS, but as far as general rareness I have no idea. If you want it I'd say go for it.
