that just goes to show their are mant many different ways to keep and maintain a saltwater tank , your way might be different to mine and mine different again to others but the results may be the same.

Makes you/me wonder if we really need all that expensive equipment to run our little piece of the ocean. Or is it just a reason to take our hard earned money away from us. Hmmmmmmmmm Like the saying says, " less is more "

 

sponges filter alot of water.eric borneman uses sponge in his sump to filter the water and does not use skimmers.a trash can is actually a sump.many sumps are in fact rubbermade cans.
