Hello all! I just noticed a white bleached spot on the edge of my short tentickle plate coral. An orange ricordea mushroom has fell on it twice now by some brute snail or crab. I moved my ricordea to another location which has a little wierd spot where they touched. Both look good but concerned about the plate coral. Is that spot dead, the white part? It's on the edge and is only about 1/4 around. Am I supposed to do anything? Thanks in advance, Jeff

If you can see the skeleton then that part is not really dead since the entire coral is one polyp, it's just got no tissue there. As long as it's kept free of algae and the plate continues to remain in good conditions with no other issues the tissue should then regrow over that spot.
