Coral will be lightless for 3-4 days

Any problems foreseen? I have 3 mushrooms, 2 zoa colonies, 2-headed candy Cane, a favia frag and a couple colonies of GSP. I don't have any other option, so it's kind of pointless to even bring it up. I'm going to continue my target feeding of the LPS as usually, hopefully that suffices. I typically keep the near by window closed, should I open it up in the meantime to provide some semblance of light? The window is on the north side of the house, FWIW.

 

Should not be a problem and I wouldn't feed them either in that period. You will need to acclimate them back to a full lighting period but should be able to do it in a week though.

They would be OK with the light from the north and it should cause little trouble.

 

Do you think it might take longer than a week to acclimate considering that I am shifting from a 2 bulb t-5 unit (the unit was 3-years old and the terminals had gotten wet prior to the unit dying) to an LED unit?

 

Acclimate VERY slow when switching to LEDs. I've had my AI sols for 2 months and I'm only up to 52% rb 50% bl and 35% wt. I still bleached 2 acros because one week I increased more than 4%.

Definitely could be. Make sure you start with them adjusted well down and slowly bring them up of a few weeks.
