Coral?

    I found this growing in the shadows in my tank. Looks and feels like it may be a coral of some type. There are no polyps, but if you look near the base there is what appears to be a hole for lack of a better description. The stalks are all white. I will try for a better picture after the lights go out tonite. Ideas anyone?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    It may be a sponge.

    harmless sponge. The hole is it's osculum. It sucks in water via it's epidermis, filters the particulates out of it, then ejects the water out through the osculum.

    Okay, Thanks. That seemed easy enough. Now that I think about it, i have a sponge much like that on a shelf. Thats cool.:)
