Coralife 125 ss

An ad on cr advertises one of these for 100. Is it worth it? They did mention that it still looks brand new. Any advise?

Not a good deal to me.Save a little more money and get yourself a reef octopus skimmer.Much better for the money.

 

I dont remember them getting the highest of reviews. Kinda an entry level skimmer. I also dont remember then costing much more than that new in the box with some google searching.

Probably surprising to some, but the Coralife 125 SS sells for around $150-175 new (via Marine Depot and FS Aquatics).

I'm actually still trying to sell my Coralife 125. I downgraded tanks and got a more appropriately sized skimmer. I payed around $150 for it. I replaced the body with a new one. Haven't used it since.

They are thought of as entry-level skimmers because they are less expansive than most, but are also lower quality in some areas (i.e. no-name brand pump). They are ok if you're on a budget. if you can afford it though, I would get a better brand.
