    Some one is selling me this for $350? Should i got for it? Im a newbie but not a sucker. Just want to make sure i get what i need. Are the ballast suppose to be included with the fixture? Any help would be appreciated.

    The ballasts should be included.

    Shoot, some of the places I've looked at want to charge about that much for a 24", LOL!!

    how to compensate for heat from lamps heating up the water?

    It depends, you can hang the fixture to allow for more air flow, use fans or a chiller if necessary.

    Looks good you got it for about 1/2 price. I'd find out how old the bulbs are and you'll be set.

    Got it cheaper cause i traded some stuff for it....The unit has been used for 3 months...

    i run the same light it will heat up the water a little i manage to keep temp at 78 easy in winter summer gets harder have to run air and keep a pedastal fan on it in addition to the built in fan good buy good luck w/it
