    Hello Reefers :)

Just getting started here, have a 20 gal with the coralife 50/50. I recently bought the coralife dual timer ( non digi ).. and now Im thinking it will never work as intended because of how the light is set up. I know this is the basic light for those of us just starting out, but I was hoping to at least be able to get the blue to stay on longer.. My lfs had never really put it to use in that capacity so he couldnt verify if it would work or not.

any suggestions ( besides buy a new light :) )

    Thanks

dont think you can control the lights seprately on that fixture. on the insitde it prob just one long bent bulb thats half white half blue, What i would do i go buy another one of thse and run 2 on 2 timers one with the 50/50 bub in it and then put an actinic in the other fixture.

Yeah, at this point I'm not sure what would be more cost effective. I think the price of one kick butt light is still way more that the cost of another one of these lights.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks :)

I have the coralife digital and it provides 4 timed outlets....but only allows you to have 2 of the outlets on at one time ....I was having the same issues ...I think you are looking at .....I found it easier to attach my Atenic ( blue) to one connection...running 11:00 am till 11:00 pm....and I have my moon lights on the other 2 outlets...running 11:15 PM to 0700am....amd I have my 3 Halides on a seperate single timer running 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm I used a 3 outlet to 1 outlet adapter to plug all 3 halides into the one high amp appliance timer.

Basically coralife only wants 1 timer running at a time ....so if your is a dual, I'm guessing its the same way. 1 timer can run at a time ? if so buy a 10.00 timers and seperate the lights that way
