Hey, just wondering if anybody knew anything about the coralife cone
Skimmer 300, and if it is any better than their other models.
    Thanks :)

I personally dont know anything about them, and i did a quick search and didnt really find much on it. But for the money i would go with something else, they are around $230-$250 and I really doubt it would skim a 300 gallon tank..

I could be completely wrong and these could be good skimmers though.

It's not set up yet and probably won't be for a few months( I'm new ). But right now I'm planning on a fish only 90gal(will hopefully upgrade the tank to a reef later, so yes I'm planning on it being a reef tank in the long run.

Look at member vinnyboombats skimmer, he just upgraded, its on a 90 too. It looks like a monster. Its on the front page of the forum. Warner marine mf 121 or something along those lines.. and its under 200

Yeah, i have the big brother to Vinnys skimmer, the MF161. The mf121 would be perfect for you and is like 190 (i think) if you contact Jon Warner right now. If he has any demo skimmers left.

Can the Mf 161 be a hob? And is it pretty silent, as the aquarium will be is my bedroom and I'm not sure if I'll have very much room for a sump

With a 90 gallon i would think you would have plenty of room for a sump. I had a sump on my 55 and that was much more narrow.

The MF161 is pretty quite considering its size, a slight hum i would say but i cant even say that the skimmer for sure. i have a lot going on in my 10 gallon sump.
