    hey guys and girls,

as you can see above i have a power center. it has 8 outlets; 4 constant power and 4 day/night. i am trying to figure out how i can make two of the daytimes come on at different times. i want to have my actinics come on before my daytimes. Can someone please tell me if this possible with this unit and if so how to i do it.

    thanks in advance

Hey Brent,,,I am sorry to tell you this, but that is not possible with that unit. All it does it alternate the 2 day and night sockets.

Robman is correct, you cant do that with that timer. Also if it's not the model with the digital readout but the type with the turn wheel get rid of it. They are known to burst into flames.
If you can return it do and get your money back. HomeDepot sells a GE digital timer that looks exactly like the Corallife digital. It's 4 on constant, 4 programmable. The box says "Not for Aquarium Use" but IMO that's just a disclaimer by GE. I've had no problems with mine.

Just to show you what I'm talking about..it's the second timer on the page:)

thanks robman just what i feared i guess i'll just get a manual single plug for my actinics.
thanks reefmonkey it is the digital one. i have had it for awhile so i can return:-/ i had it running a pc before so it didn't matter. now i have incorporated a t-5 retro kit into my canopy. so ofcourse i want a sunrise sunset cycle. i'll figure it out, but thanks for getting back to me. i had been reading that, but i guess i just needed some renforcement.
