I had that same unit. When the time came to change the bulbs I got frustrated and threw it out. I got a VHO retro.

All you have to do is slide the splash gaurd out. Then the bulbs themselves just pull right out.

no not at all the bulbs are each indipendently wired to the ballests . there are no removing these bulbs as easy as you may think . ill have to add a few shots of the wireing its self i guess. but i refuse to just throw this fixture out , spent to much money on it .

ok so i downloaded the directions from the web site and sure enough i can remove the bulbs quite easily . i am not sure why they were so hard to seperate maybe salt creap carosion or something but after reading the directions i took a screw driver and popped it right between the connections and pop bulbs all came right out .

not i have a t5 fixture and the coralife compact bulb system .... and my question is can i use them both on my tank with out over doing it .

    the coralife system houses 4 65watt bulbs 2 10k and 2 acientic/blue

    the T5 system had 1 54watt 10k and 1 acientic /blue

IDK, mine wouldn't come out. I wanted to upgrade anyways:). It was a good enough excuse for me.
