Hey i just started a ten gallon saltwater tank and i wanna know if two of the Coralife Mini Compact Fluorescent 50/50 Bulb would be sufficient?
Here is the describtion i pulled from a petco website selling them

“Designed for "use where space is limited but powerful lighting is desired.

A single ten watt Mini Compact Fluorescent gives the same output as a 50 watt incandescent bulb.

Self-ballasted, low operating temperature bulb fits a standard medium base.

High-intensity output 50% 10,000K daylight and 50% actinic 03 blue light enhances fresh and saltwater aquariums."

i want to get corals in the tank as well and i'm on a budget and I already have a light housing that these would fit in, would two be okay? Do I need more? Or should I just get PC lighting??
Thanks!

That should get ya going...but you will be restricted on some of the more photosynthetic corals that you can have....but for ten gallons, ya should be cool.....remember, go slow...let it grow...then move on to another frag....some stuff will thrive on the bed while others will thirst for more light...you'll see.
Good luck...send some pictures next time...and some info on your intentions.
Later...

Okay thanks for they info, we'll i'm probably just going to keep some mushrooms and Zoanthids, but once my tank gets older i might want to get a bubble tipped anemone for the clown I'm planning on getting, would that lighting be enough? its a ten gallon tank the lights are approx. 11 inches from the sand bed.
Thanks
