All systems are different, the length of time depends on your set up and bio-load. You will be fine in my opinion as its been just 2 days and you are actively looking to replace it. Keep up with water changes to help keep the TDS down and perhaps even cut back on feeding - this will buy you even more time. good luck

Thanks, i did cut back on feeding, i fed very very little lastnight, but im thinking of going with the PSK75 in sump model, but i have to look to see if it'll work in my setup or not b/c the water level in my sump is odd, it goes from 14" of water to about 6 so i have to see if it'll work in the 6" b/c the other one is my refugium.

coralife is very good about replacing their parts, contact them- you might find a happy ending to all of this- very quickly.

I have ran mine for over 3 months without a skimmer. I have a med/high bio-load, but I have several hundred # of live rock and a massive refugium.

It really comes down to how high your bio-load is and what other filtration / cleanup crew you have.
