My tank is 55 gallon reef tank and I want to have all corals except SPS's. Is the Coralife Super Skimmer Needle Wheel 65 gallon rated PS good?

I will probably have a fair amount of fish as well. I also have 90lbs LR and 60lbs LS.
    Any experience with this one?

HI, I have it and it works well. It is (like most) touchy to the water level if you put it in a sump but nothing dramatic. I have mine in the sump and and it does over skim when certain things are put in the tank like Amino acids or some other additives. You just need to be aware and watch the skimmer when you add anything and see if it is going to over react to it.

I have the 65 model and it works well, but there a ton of microbubbles getting pushed into the tank. Anyone have this problem and if so how do I fix it? or do I just need the flow control valve?

I have two of the 125 skimmers and they both work good, but if you have it as a hang on back I would suggest that you have an overflow tube. These skimmers are prone for the collection cup to overflow. I connected a tube to a milk jug. It works good but it has to be watched.

Agreed, except I had mine overflow back into the tank instead of milk jug. Not the best prectice to dump waste back in the tank but mine pumped several gallons on the floor more then once.

I have the 125 HOB and it's working great. Took a while for it to get adjusted, I ended up having to put a piece of wood under it to fix the water level but it runs like a charm now. Just don't give up and keep adjusting it until it works for you.
