    Hello everyone,

This is my first post but i read this board hours a day. Thanks for all the info.
Im building a sump/fuge for my 50 gal. DT. I will be using a 20 gal tall i have sitting around. I will be ordering a coralife super skimmer 65 to use in the sump. My question is how large and high do i have to have the water level in sump area. i have not been able to find any info on this anywhere. i did see some where someone had it listed as a 8x10 footprint. So would 10 in be enough.also how high should the water level be. also if anyone has a Coralife skimmer to part with pm me. Thanks

I have that skimmer, its dimensions are:
    4.25" x 5.5" x 20.75"

it works really good but if it is in your sump where you loose water from evap then you'll be adjusting it constantly. I ended up leaving the skimmer part in the sump and moving the pump in between the baffles where the water height stays the same. I keep the pump about 6" in the water.
