I know this has probably been brought up over and over.
But can anyone tell me how to stabilize my super skimmer? It seems to be consistent for a while, and then one day the cup will be over flowing. It's been in use for over a year. This is pretty annoying.
I've read somewhere that putting a valve on the air intake can help?

this sometimes happens when the air line to the pump and the air intake stem needs cleaning, keep all air flow as clean as possible. James

Yeah, I've been sucking up some RO into the airtube to clean it once in a while. How often should this be done? I guess I can just make it part of my weekly "to do".

Did you check or try cleaning the pump? Something could me in the pump or affecting the impeller. It happened to me once.

I'm strong to the finish cause I eats me spinach. I'm ReefBruh the reefing man. Toot Toot.

the intake stem on the pump that the airline is hooked to, it gets calicum deposits inside it and stops up on my pump and overflows, I use a toothpick with the tip broke off to clean insde the stem about every two months and she skims like brand new. James

Wouldn't sucking RO up through the airline clean this just the same?
