I am shopping for a skimmer and come accross this. Anyone with experience with them? Is that a fair price?

Thanks for the input! This is going on a 65g, do you think it will be enough, atleast to hold me over for a while. Money is tight and this sounded like a good deal. Here is the post:

If money is tight then that is fair but if you can wait on a skimmer I would not spend $50 on a used Coralife. There are not the best value even at $110 at my LFS. I would save another $75 and look into reef octopus. I passed on a coralife 65 and a cpr bak pak both for $100 off advice from somone on this forum and I am glad I took the advice.

I got my Coralife 65 for $30, and I've been very happy with it. I would probably pay the extra $20 for it.

I would like to go with a reef octopus but can not find a 110 for under $170. What skimmer were you mentioning for $110?

Great skimmer, I run it on my 46g, and I run the 220g model on my 120g. Works like a charm for the price paid.

I'm not a fan of coralife skimmer and would not spend $50. Save money and get aquac remora if you are looking for HOB skimmer.
