    i dont like to be the "hey mine works great" guy
    but it worked awesomely as hob and sump skimmer. they length of the tube between the pump and skimmer is important, i found mine worked best with the pump being one inch high off the ground when the skimmer was sitting on the ground.
    i would always set my water level to where the cup neck begins to cone in.
