    i took about a week before my 125 started skimming anything but that was when it was hob, it did so much better when in sump, good luck

    Mine is now starting to build up crud in the tube. When its time to empty the cup...I should not rinse out the whole thing right?

    Just unscrew the cup and rinse it out with the lid. I use cold water with the spray attachment at the sink. I use my fingers to get the green matter off the plastic.

    I don't use my fingers, I use an old toothbrush cause it can reach in further ... plus that's fish poo ;).
