My coraline algae was one point was doing really well and encrusting all over everything, from my rocks ,back glass and HOB filter and glass cleaner you name it was encrusting it.BUT for some reason or another it has stop spreading and in some areas has started to bleach I have not really done anything different from before and don't understand why this is happening.I drip NatureReef Kalkwasser with RO water for my top off over night one gallon at time into the return of my 30 Gal refugium when the lights go out.Any Ideas why this is happen or is there something I am doing to cause this to happen.

Did you make any changes in your lighting? How old are the bulbs? How is your alkalinity?

I don't test for magnesium (don't care to pay $30 for a test), but should water changes every 1-2 weeks be sufficient enough to keep my mag up (I only have 4 mushrooms in the tank).

I would think that if you use a quality salt such as reef crystals or the like, than you should not have a mag issue or an issue with other elements since you load is so light.

I'm sorry I mixed that up. It's actually called Coral Pro salt. I'm not sure where I got red Sea from. Haha
