    I have a 46 gallon and I use a scraper to get the coraline algae off the front and sides of the tank every so often. There is s spot I am unable to get at because of the LR to close to the glass. Can anyone think of a aquarium safe scrapper with a long blade that I could use to get at this coraline algae?
    Thanks,
    Adam

    Is the tank glass or acrylic?

    This is a conundrum that most of us, except those with mega-tanks, have to deal with...

    Problem:

    "Too much rock...too little space.::(

    I would suggest rearranging rock, or just learning to live with it...:-/

    When I scrape my back glass every few months, I just get in there with a razor blade in my hand. I don't bother to get in back of the rocks, because it's less visible. My tank is glass FYI.

    drsfostersmith.com has a nice scraper called magical cleaning rod. comes in different lenths and has interchangeable heads for different applications. if you have acrylic be careful what you use, so not to scratch the tank.

    I do what Bogie does. Razor in hand. Works pretty well.

    Coraline algae removal

    My tank is glass. There is just one 2 inch area on the side which my kent scraper can not get into because of the rock. If the this blade was longer it would work. The problem is the handle which gets thicker gets in the way which prevents me from getting the area. I looked at the magical cleaning rod but it looks like the Kent which the which does not get in the area. Maybe Home Depot has something?

    Yeah a hardware store might ... I recall a flat handled razor that is silver (aluminum I think) and has a button slide in the middle. When you slide the button down it exposes the razor at the bottom. It's flat and long - might work!
