Coraline Algae Question

    I am currently just completing my Cycling and i have a decent amount of Coraline algae on a rock of mine i want to make sure it is getting the proper amount of light so it will Spread. Anyone know how much light is needed or any TIPS at all would be GREAT thank you!

    once you get on a regular lighting schedule now that youcve finished cycling, it wil lspread and spread and spread. lol. most people are roughly 12 hr actinics, 10 or so of mh's or ho's. plus its calcium based. dont worry , it will spread , and then it will be a nuisance in some regards. lol

    Hey Div Thanks again for the Awesome help! Right now i have it on a 12hr schedule both actinic and daylight. should i be running one longer than the other etc...

    i start with actinics for an hour before ho's come on. more for the look , but also as a slow wake up. instead of everything getting "blasted" by all lights comin on at once.
