I would not be adding that Purple Up in your tank. As long as you keep your Mg, Ca, & ALK then coralline will happen on it's own. It is also a sign of a good healthy tank that has cycled.

I didn't use purple up in my 12. I had tons of coralline growth. Let nature take its course..

My coralline did the same thing yours is doing. I changed my lights, they were getting old, and now I leave them on anywhere from 8-12 hours a day. With the new lighting, 50/50 Actinic 10,000k pc, my coralline is starting to explode. Keep you water parameters right and let nature take it's course like baugherb said. Also I haven't heard anything good about Purpleup, seems to be a waste of $. Nice pics by the way.

    welcome to the 3reef
you should not expect to have to much coraline growth at this time and as stated perhaps be expecting some die off (you are cycling now right).
Give your tank some more time you will start to see more then just coraline. ALGAE its on its way so keep your mag,cal and alk in check as stated above and it should help keep the algaes under control.

ok, I was not gonna dump the purple up in right away but was ordering some stuff and for 8 bucks figured Id have it if the coraline does not spring back, like I said the die off of coraline kinda slowed down, the kent nano buffer should be keeping up the trace elements(or so kent states) calcium test kit should be here tomorrow or wednesday since its coming from a store thats an hour away(cheaper to ship then to drive my 78 plymouth there)also I ordered the maxi-jet900 which will up the flow enough to pull the rio400 powerhead I have out, the stock nano-cube pump wasnt moving alot of water at 106GPH, the maxi-jet is a 230GPH I also dont have the skimmer attachment on as I read it wont be needed for a little while after cycling...I'll let you guys know when it starts growing again...oh and my camera is to thank for the clear pics, chould come in handy if I need an ID on something, havent seen any life yet other then algae
