    my rena pushes out 450gallons per hour, and then i have a powerhead in there pushing another 400. which these numbers are the MAX and they are definently not doing MAX.

    What kind of test kits are you using? Have a friend or the LFS test your water. 800 is supeerrr high. Do you have a clean up crew. The green stuff sounds like hair algae, how bout a pic. Fill out that form like Pharmr says, it'll help. How new is this tank. Coraline, like wisdom, comes with age. When you get things under control, and with time coraline will grow. i dose Kalk 2-3 times a week, and it accels growth, but my parameters are under control.

    Tap water contributes to you phosphates and algae, A fuge with macroalgae will compete with your nuisance algae, and a protein skimmer will contribute to overall pristine water quality, and rob nuisance algae of nutrients.
