yep regular razor blade. i always toss mine after im done. a pack of a hundred is super cheap so its not worth saving them. they will rust pretty quick if not cleaned properly anyways.

Best kept secret at Petco, PETCO Multi-Functional Tool for Glass Aquariums. I bought three of these & by far the best, effortless cleaning tool I have ever used. It scrapes the coralline off my glass with EASE!!!! Much safer than a razer blade. Plus with the three attachments, switching is a breeze! It's 22" long & extense to 34" long. Very well built, and the stainless steel scraper blade attachment is positioned at a 45 degree angle to get to those hard to reach places.. It comes with a coarse algae pad for polishing glass walls, but I haven't used that attachment yet. The third attachment is a rake that is VERY hand to arrange sand or scooping stuff off the bottom. Best of all regular price is $12.99, they have an online special for $10.39. Now you know why I bought 3 of them! Just to have extra or just in case they stop making it. ;)

you can also use a magfloat with an easy blade attached to it. This makes it easier since you don't have to get your hands wet. Just remember to completely rinse and dry the blade off after use otherwise it will rust. Easy Blade Algae Scrapers - Black - English

I don't get my hands wet at all.. ;D Magfloats can come off the glass when cleaning, now I have a uncontrolled blade floating around, that can harm live stock or myself. May work great for you, but not my cup of coffee.. ;) Good find neverless..
