    I'm starting to get coralline algae on my overflow box, Is that a sign of goodness?

    well, do you want coraline algae? If so, then it's a good thing.

    if not, then you better get scraping ;)


    I just noticed signs of coraline growth all over one of my returns and in some corners of the glass a day or two ago. My tanks been up for about 45 days, just as a reference for you to compare growth rates. I'm not sure what's the avg. time it takes for it to start growing though.

    coraline will grow easily on all plastics . but it will grow on your rocks and glass. your ph's will be overun too. i like it on the rocks , but cant stand it on the display parts of the glass.

    haha depends! I love it on my rocks and equipment, but it's starting to grow all over my glass - and that I do NOT like!
