    hi everyone

just in case anyone is currently experiencing problems with either coralline growth on tank viewing panels and or scratches resulting from attempts to cure said problem

here is a tip - credit cards - I was able to cure the above problems using a very simple technique with a credit card

I used the card to purchase a new tank
removed the purple rock from the old tank and placed it in the new tank
and thereafter had coralline covered rocks, minus the purple glass patches and annoying scratches

Yes-but the interest rate for using it as a scraper is 0% :hehe:

    Haha good one Steve.

I could have used this suggestion this morning before I spent the entire day scraping.

    fair point

I know the feeling, I do the front glass twice a week, but the sides get monthly attention and by the time its finished the arms are aching.

absolutely - you get 2 or 3 times more clear surface area with that method

Credit cards have many uses. I used it to clean off some tape residue on the outside of my acrylic tank. I also use a credit card to take off dried pine tar on my car

HAHA good one. Here I thought I was gonna learn some new trick to tuck away for later use. ;D
But seriously since I started my tank that's all my cards are good for. Work good on that thin layer of frost on the windshield when I'm too lazy to climb in the truck and grab the scraper too! ;)

I just started doing the same thing this week ..lol. I read it somewhere else... I think on RC. Works good especially on my acrylic tank. Seems like I read the similar commercial acrylic scrapers lose their edge fast so this is a good alternative.
