Int his photo you see a power-head with old coralline splotches (from my previous set up which had a lot). I don't have any coralline in my tank (that I see) other than what is on the back of a snail that I purches a few weeks ago. I recently scraped some off of his back into the water in an effort to "seed" the tank. They are starting to get a purple tint to them (unless I'm seeing things. Is coralline known to target old calcified regions first?

    Thanks.

It's (old calcified growth) the only place I see a purple tint. I see it on the old calcified spots on my rock too. Maybe I'm just seeing it because I want to see it.

i too have noticed when my coralline came back, it grew over the old white calcified remains pretty quickly, well it seemed at least faster then other spots.
