I have a decent amount of coralline on my rock work, but I would prefer more. Then I started reading up on supplements that speed up the growth of coralline. Does anyone recommend a brand that works well? And do the supplements have drawbacks? Thanks for the help.

Maybe... I dunno. I'm going to college in two years, and I want a decent looking tank by that time. :] I'll definitely consider it though.

if u wanna make it grow, just make sure ur calcium and magnesium levels stay at a good constant....the stuff will take over ur glass in no time...and you will be posting on here "how do i stop coralline algae from making me scream?"

i agree. when you start messing with dosing etc it only hurts. i had the best coralline in my tank when i was doing nothing but water changes. i then started to fool with tank parameters with dosing, and i have lost alot of it. i am only doing water changes for now on

I wouldn't add anything like purple up or stuff like that. I think it is a gimmic and others have said the same. Make sure your water params are pristine and you have the right amount of calcium. Also get some nice lights over the tank and you'll see it growing very quickly. If you want it to spread even quicker get a nice piece of rock and scrape some algea off in front of a power head. In a weeks time you will see little green specs starting to grow all over the place. It won't take 2 years to cover your tank if it isn't a huge tank. How big is it anyways?
